The College of Energy, Environment, and Sustainability (CEES) offers career centric, interdisciplinary graduate programs. These programs empower the students to benefit from new opportunities in energy economy. The College is looking to hire an Executive Director in its Washington DC office. The candidate should be an experienced entrepreneurial leader who can project the reach of the College globally. The candidate must have proven record of success and leadership. He/She must also be able to manage funds raising and revenues, and have business experience. The candidate does not have to be from an education background but he/she must have a deep understanding of the education market. Preference will be given to candidates with PhD linked with Energy and Environmental Sciences.
The other duties include:
- Helping the development and growth of the College from its start-up level to a full-fledged institution operating globally.
- Establishing and managing the institute's Partners network coalition.
- Working closely with education policy makers, foundations, business, community organizations, parents, and other interested partners.
- Undertaking brand development activities and marketing
- Supervising the functioning of the College and courses offered
- Administrating the program, budgeting and fund raising
- Helping faculty and students development

Bridging Nations is looking for Interns for the Fall of 2010. We are a rapidly growing 501(c)(3) nonprofit located in Washington DC, and it's a great opportunity for students or recent grads to gain real world experience.We are looking for interns to fill the following roles:
Marketing and Outreach
(social media, event planning, strong written and oral communication skills needed)
Graphic Design
(web design, management, and technical support)
Information Technology
(web analytics, drupal program, HTML, and web content)
Marketing and Public Relations Coordinator
The Coordinator will be responsible for contributing to the marketing and student recruitment efforts of the College of Energy and Environment.
This is a great opportunity for recent graduates or mid-career professionals who studied marketing, public relations, or a related field and have an interest in promoting energy education. Candidates should posses outstanding writing skills, strong GPA, strong work ethic, and a demonstrated ability to work independently. A typical day involves drafting articles for weekly or bi-weekly newsletter, helping design promotional material such as flyers or online advertisements, researching potential partners (energy companies, nonprofit organizations, and individual experts etc.), and explaining to them the cause of the College of Energy and Environment.
Minimum Requirements
- achelor's degree or equivalent, with GPA above 3.5
- Multi-tasking ability
- Professional experience in an office setting
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to train others
- Strong technical proficiency, including but not limited to Microsoft Office and Google Apps.
- Management or leadership experience
- Master's degree or equivalent
- Professional experience working in the nonprofit sector, or a related field highly encouraged
- Experience working or living in a diverse or international setting
- Experience in technical support, graphic design, or web development strongly preferred
